However the interest for photographing started earlier. I grew up with a dedicated dad who transformed the laundry room into a dark room (to my mother frustration). Did he plant an early seed?
- Back in the army I was writing and photographing for the army newspaper, but it should take another 10 years before I started to get interested in photographing as an expression of art.
I am self taught, learning by failing and doing, reading a lot and experimenting, and not to forget, learn from people that inspire me. One of my favourite photographers is Jim Patterson.
I believe photography isn't something you learn, it's a feeling inside you, which you can develop more and more. It's a reflection of your mind.
Since I got my first DSRL (Canon 40D) I've developed and grown that feeling and learned the technical aspects, but still you need to find that feeling inside you. That something. That feeling that gives you inspiration. When you find this feeling, you will find your best shots. I have no recipe how to find this feeling; I only know that it comes and goes, and it seems to come more when challenging yourself, or when you are not prepared. Whether that is to go outdoor in shitty weather, climb a mountain or do something new, I don't know, but I know I love these moments, and that is what I believe makes good stories to tell, both in text and visually.

I enjoy all forms of photography, but have a passion for the nature and the wild, landscapes, seascape, nature, long exposures and animals.
